Something a little special for National Toast Day. We’re celebrating with these deliciously decadent sesame chocolate toasts.

An out and out winner this. Chocolate, melted, and embraced tenderly by a quirky combination of tahini, sea salt and olive oil.

And guess what, they’re vegan too! No further ado….

20 mins | serves up to 4 | chuffin’ easy

Ingredients 

1 small baguette, thinly sliced 
2 tsp tahini 
2 tbsp ev olive oil 
100g dark chocolate, at least 70% 
sea salt flakes 
sesame seeds 

Method

Oven up to 200°C / gas 6.

Place yer slices out evenly on a baking tray. Mix the tahini together with the olive oil and brush over both sides of the bread. Bung in the oven for 5 mins, turn over and bake for another 3 mins.

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate, dollop it onto the slices, sprinkle with salt, sesame seeds and a final little drizzle of olive oil.
