A re-mix of sorts here. The exquisite pairing of kohlrabi and granny smith is so legendary we’re featuring it twice here at CBP.

Romanesco, the beautiful broccoli from outer space.
Mesmerising geometric spirals within spirals, it is, as far as we’re concerned, proof positive of alien life and 16th century visitations to Italy, where it has been cultivated ever since.
Quantities would just get the way of this delightful dish. We’re freestylin’ here along a well trodden path and there’s something special in the way these veggies and leaves come together of their own accord, in a simple and mellow flavoured, laid back salad.
Or lentil salad with 2 onions and herbs, in plain old english.
Now this may sound incredibly simple, it is. And yet it’s so, so incredibly good. And fully veegs n’all. Continue reading “Salade de Lentilles aux 2 Oignons et Herbes”

Oven french fries, kimchi, quickled red chilli, spring onions, and coriander, dripping in cheese and sour cream, what more could you ask for? Perfect sharing street food. Continue reading “K-fries”
1HR PROVING ALERT

This was our first (intensely satisfy) go at making grissini, the moreish, knobbly, quintessentially Italian breadsticks, and if you haven’t yet we highly recommend you do. Continue reading “Green Goddess & Red Devil Dips with h/m Grissini”
Love makin’ soup, who doesn’t?

Stone the crows this is good.
What happened here is we merged together two recipes in this month’s Olive magazine. Crafty.
Saw the panko eggs and decided there and then we had to have them. It being a weekday however, we couldn’t just go eating bacon willy nilly, which is what accompanied the panko eggs in their original guise.
So we married them instead with the pickled spring veg salad on another page and came up with this. Continue reading “Panko Eggs with Quickled Spring Veg Salad”
